For some woman they have their heart set on a fairy tale wedding, this isn’t just a normal white wedding but one that feels magical and the bride feels like a rescued princess. These types of weddings are very feminine and the bride plays the most important role.

The venue is important for a fairy tale wedding as it sets the scene for the day, so castles and stately homes make excellent choices.

This theme of wedding has a wedding dress style, which is a fitted bodice and layers, upon layers or tulle.  This tulle is usually decorated with crystals to make it sparkle.  The men in the bridal party also also more formal usually in tuxedos, a step up from a morning suit.

When it comes to bridal accessories for a fairy tale wedding, small and delicate just isn’t the way to go.   Both the wedding jewellery and tiara should stand out, be full of sparkle and big.

You might not find the bridal accessories you’re looking for in a bridal shop as they stock tiaras and jewellery for the average bride, so look online for taller tiaras or even miniature crowns.  Since you always think of tiaras and crowns when you think of princesses and fairytale weddings, choose this first, then find jewellery to match.

A part of the fairy tale wedding theme which can easily be achieved is your arrival to the wedding venue, should should definitely have a horse driven carriage or a fairytale carriage like cinderella. If you’re getting married in winter this might not be a good idea as the weather could be bad.

Since the wedding venue should feel magical decorate it with fairy lights and tea light candles.  You could decorate your tables with more candles and table crystals to give a brilliant atmosphere.  Instead of giving your tables number you could name your tables in old english adding to the uniqueness of the day.

Your food should be high quality and not your normal stodgy food.  Think of food fit for royalty, this should give you a good idea of the food you should be serving.  Very formal dinners tend to have a lot of courses so you could also incorporate this, instead of having 3 courses, have 5 or 6 smaller courses. Classical music will help set the tone of your reception initially.  If you want to relax into the evening once all the formalities are over, you should consider hiring a DJ, band or both.
